Read BGen S.V. Radley-Walters comments on Halifax Rifles men who served
*N/A -  Officers were not assigned regimentaL numbers in that period.
"During  WW 1, 125 officers, and 1,508 other ranks passed through the Halifax Rifles from August 4, 1914 to
November 11, 1918. Seventy-five officers proceeded overseas, of whom
17 gave their lives on the battlefield. Eight
hundred and fifteen other ranks proceeded overseas, of whom some
100 laid down their lives."

"Some thirty were granted commissions overseas, and many won awards for bravery." ------- A Century of Rifles
