Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of our regimental brother, James (Jim) Jollota,
at this sad time in his passing. He
had a long time contribution and loyalty to The Halifax Rifles,  
the Cadet Corps as well as  to the Halifax Rifles Armoury Association, where he most recently
served as Secretary. He will be greatly missed and long remembered  for his contribution,
friendliness and for his long and dedicated exceptional service.

Jollota, James  Lawrence

JOLLOTA,  James Lawrence – age 81, Dartmouth, passed away
February 13, 2018 at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late
Cecil and Pearl (MacInnis) Jollota. Jim worked at Imperial Oil for 36
years. He served with the Halifax Rifles Regiment, retiring with the rank
of Major. He volunteered with the Army League Nova Scotia and
Halifax Citadel Army Museum. Active with Halifax Rifles Association
and Cadet Corps. He was a long time member of the Dartmouth Curling
Club. He is survived by his loving wife Dale; daughters, Vicki (Peter
Hendrickson) Rafuse; Barbi (David Chatterton) Jollota; son, Scott
(Deborah Williams) Jollota; brother, Robert (Florence) Jollota; all of
Dartmouth; sister, Lina (David) Henderson, Greenwood; grandchildren,
Matthew Rafuse, Courtney Rafuse, Brandon Jollota. He was predeceased
by his granddaughter, Olivia Jollota. Cremation has taken place under
the direction of Cole Harbour Funeral Home, 1234 Cole Harbour Road,
where a memorial service will be held 2 PM Tuesday February 20th,
2018. A reception will follow. Rev. Frederick Snyder officiating. A
private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in
