MOSER, Earl Cyril— 91, Moser River, passed away Monday, November 16, 2009,
in Duncan MacMillan Nursing Home, Sheet Harbour. Born in Moser River on
September18, 1918, he was a son of the late William and Melissa (Bezanson) Moser.
Earl was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was a Second World
War veteran, serving with the Halifax Rifles.
Earl worked many years with
Chisholm Construction building roads in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. He
enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing crib and solitaire, and gardening. Survived by
daughters, Faye (Frank) Holland, Moncton, N.B.; Joan (Cory) Fiander, Fall
River; grandchildren, Darcy (Kaori), Michael (Wendy), Jillian (Justin); brother-
in-law, Bill Smith. He was predeceased by wife, Helen; brothers, Rueben,
Crandell, John; sisters, Elizabeth Scrivens, Bertha Smith, Hilda Watt and Doris
Smith. Cremation has taken place under the direction of D. S. Crowell and Son
Funeral Home. Graveside committal service will be held Saturday, November 21,
at 2 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Moser River, Verna Dunlop officiating. Family
